The novel forty rules of love written by Turkish author eliff shafak . She writes in both  Turkish, and English and has published seventeen books, eleven of which are novels. Her work has been translated into fifty languages She got high popularity to written the  novel forty rules of love was published in 2009.  Her popular novel are pinhan, mahrem and forty rules of love . Elif  shafak written the novel forty rules of love In Turkish languaguge which is know  the name of ASK  but later it was translate into Urdu language. 

      THE novel forty rules of love is consists of two parts the first one is about ellan unhappily married jewish house wife living in Northampton, Massachuseets with his husband and three children’s.  she spend her all time  to cooking different  food for her family, to decorate her house but his husband was not loyal with her. She did not feel his absence in her life. When she was fouty year old she start to work a letrary agency and currently she is given a book named "Sweet Blasphemy" by Aziz Zahara. Ellian influence with writer of sweet blasphemy and ready to give him his life and to break his relation with his hisband and three children.

The second part of the novel is about Sufi  ,Muslim shamas tabarazi whose change life of many people through his love and also tell them about his rules of love. He travel one place to another place to sell different things he want to transfer his knowledge with any other person because he see the vision of his death  so that why try to found that person whose is able to accept her knowledge. Shams travels from Samarkand to Baghdad where he gets to know about Jalaluddin Rumi, a famous scholar of that time by a Sufi .then he travel toward konya where he meet rumi. After that his rumi life was totally change people hate shamas tabaraz and say vlgular things about their friendship but rumi was influence with shams he did all this things which  he never image to doing in his life because of his love with shames tabarazi.
