The Dominant Problem of the Power sector of Pakistan 

• Outdated faulty

In Pakistan power is not being generated as per the production capacity of the installed power plant. much of the electricity is being wasted due to outdated faulty and old transmission line

• Hydroelectricity

Hydroelectricity is dependent on water which increases and decreases due to the shortage of water in dams .in Pakistan most of the emphasis is put on hydroelectricity as a consequence it is generating far insufficient hydropower than its capacity due to severe water shortage.

• High-cost electricity

Pakistan produces most of the electricity from furnace oil which is too much costly, so it has to confront a bunch of challenges.

Population in Pakistan increases day by day but its production of electricity has not increased that why Pakistan facing severe challenges

Pakistan purchases electricity from the independent power plant which is more expensive than hydropower. Government has to bear more costs.

Pakistan faced a lot of crises due to line losses, infrastructure, defects, and theft of electricity.

Recommendation to solve the power crisis 

• Electricity from coal

Pakistan should use other sources, especially coal to generate electricity, our country has 185 billion tons of coal, according to some experts if Pakistan used these reserves or can produce 50,000 megawatts of electricity.

• Solar energy,

If Pakistan infuses little on generating electricity from solar it can be able to fulfill its energy necessity as other nations did .

• Banning air conditioner 

If the Pakistan government ban using the air conditioner in offices at specific times it will be to meet the energy requirement.

• Save energy campaign 

Electricity loss can be lessened by inaugurating a save electricity campaign on electronic and print media.

•  Electricity generation from biofuels and biogas

Electricity generation can be boosted by using biofuel and biogas, 5000 megawatts of electricity can be generated by using urban and agricultural garbage.

• Use of LED club

The use of all types of bulbs and tube lights for domestic and commercial should be prohibited and replaced with cheap energy savers and LED bulbs to save electricity.
