The Education System Of Pakistan, And Its Problems
Introduction
Education makes a people easy to lead but difficult to drive, easy to govern, but impossible to enslaved (Emerson). Education is the right of everyone respective of caste, creed and gender. Pakistan achieve only 60 percent of literacy rate in 7o years. The major bundles of Pakistan education system is defective examination system, limited resources, shortage of teacher etc.

Pakistan education system is consider defective because it test memory and ability to memorize rather than test of mental abilities of the students.
Limited resources for education
Unfortunately, very little investment has been given to education system in the country. Little sum of money are allocated for education in budget.
Shortage of teachers
In the country widespread complain of shortage of teachers in education institution. It is very important to increase the number of teachers and educator in education institutions. Moreover, training and skill development of teachers in accordance with modern requirements is also necessary.
Lack of vocational and technical subject in the curriculum
Pakistan curriculum lacked professional, technical, and market related subjects.this can be overcome by including other subjects like electronic photography, information technology, gardening and professional subjects.
Lack of teaching material
Many of education institution lacked teaching material like libraries, laboratories. Moreover where these are available are also not up to mark. Due to this situation pupils cannot performs practical, they cannot borrow books from libraries. This effect their learning and latter their performance.
Lack of basic education facilities
The other major problem is that education institution lacked basic facilities like electricity, transport, lack of safe water- health and sanitation facilities, hostel facilities.
Lack of co- curriculum activities
It is helpful in moral upgrading and personality building.these activities include speeches, mushairray (literary function), study tour , quiz, sports activities. Due to lack of co- curricular activities student become less partical.
Selection wrong subjects
In Pakistan show up culture is very high because of which mostly parents, want their children, to become doctor and engineers. So they forces their children to study science subjects while their children are not interest in it. This put psychological pressure on the young ones. Moreover, most of school not provide multiple subject to students.
Lack of uniformity
Different education system is working; madrassas, private, government schools. These are not working on the uniform principles.these institution have their own curriculum and also a different environment.
High level of drop outs
Due to lack of effective management, poor motivating environment, and discipline in Pakistan, student drop out rate is very high.
Corruptions
One of the major problem of Pakistan education system is corruption. Most of the teacher not did their work honestly due to lack of accountability. Furthermore, most of the institution select teacher their own relative and friends not on the base of merit
