Education system of Gilgit Baltistan

Education doesn't mean wearing a school uniform, going to school, or getting good marks through unfair means. Its purpose is to develop creativity, skill, ethical values, etc. The goal of education in the region of Gilgit Baltistan is distinct. The region is not much developed as other regions of Pakistan it's because the education condition in the region, especially in government institutions is worst. Where poor family children used to go.   The matter of concern is why the education department of Gilgit Baltistan produces useless products. let's discuss what are the main causes of the failure of government institutes in educating youth in the region. 

The first main reason is the recruitment of teachers by unfair means. Because of favoritism or because of the low literacy rate in the region .so that the government has little option in their choice, they recruit incapable for serving in the education department.

 The second problem is check and balance are not found in the region, once government appoints instructor no one look after their performance.

 Moreover, once anyone gets a Government job they think that no one can fire him or her so instead of focusing on the grooming of children they start enjoying their life with a government salary.

Thirdly, There is no concept of Extracurricular activities.  two reasons behind this.  first is because of lack of funding and the second is teachers' lack of interest in these sorts of activities.

Fourthly, the Unfair exam system; is one of the biggest dilemmas which put our education goals into confusion and also destroyed thousands of students' futures. It creates a concept that emphasizes getting a degree, not a skill. Most teachers support cheating to hide their shortcomings and to save the institution's reputation. Moreover, the people of the region did not consider it a crime, no one raised his voice against this menace. The majority of people here have had a graduation degree but they lacked skills and understanding of particle requirements.    

Furthermore, the Local language is the medium of instruction. Modern days requirements are modern and international languages, not the native language; which is only spoken in a small town. For the development of any region, it is important to learn multiple international languages so that they will be able to understand various new thoughts, ideas, etc.

Moreover, Physical punishment is common. Although according to the Constitution of Pakistan no one is allowed to punish students physically. But here it is considered the right of instructors. Because they consider it is the only solution to this problem. No one had raised his voice against this grievance, maybe it was because people here are not that much aware of the true meaning of education.

Besides, Lack of resources. Without resources, no one can be successful in developing any institution. However, providing financial support to public schools is the responsibility of the government, but In the region, all public schools lack necessities of education such as libraries, sports equipment, teacher training session, etc. Although it is the responsibility of the government the unfortunate thing is that it does not pay heed to the development of the region.
